Just Call Me King Mike Frerichs. Please?!?

I mean...after all...who else would wear a crown like this in photos and then decide against paying their property taxes for more than seven years?  A king, right?

Wouldn't that be nice?  Voters...please please please...vote for me: Mike Frerichs for King of Illinois .  Ummm...I mean...Illinois Treasurer in November of 2014.

Mike Frerichs' Chinaman Dick Durbin Shamefully Politicizes 9/11

Mike Frerichs learned from the best:  his personal mentor United States Senator Dick Durbin!  Check out how Durbin (in bad taste) inserted his own political sign in his 9/11 message.  Shame on you, Senator.

Senator Mike Frerichs: Listen To Me! I Went To Yale!

Democrat hack Mike Frerichs doesn't want you to believe the hype: he's not an idiot.  Seriously.  Just forget everything you've heard about him: the fact that he forgets his own voting record.  The fact that he wears a suit to a Habitat For Humanity event where everyone else wore work gloves.  And...the fact that he's an earmuff enthusiast.

Just forget all those things, please.

My campaign for Illinois Treasurer can't spell check (or word check, I guess?)

The guys over at the Illinois Truth Team have pointed out that we used the wrong 'complement' in our proposal for Eco Agicultural stuff.  We used 'compliment'.  We should have used 'complement'.

Hell...I went to Yale and I don't even understand this stuff.

Running for office is hard.

I Just Proposed Something that already exists in Illinois?!? Seriously!

Doug Finke from the SJ-R found out that the program I proposed, unfortunately exists.  Back to the drawing board, I guess?

From the SJ-R:
A couple of weeks ago, Democratic state treasurer candidate MIKE FRERICHS released a plan to boost agriculture assistance offered by the office.
He said he would create a new program offering low-cost loans for things like solar pumps, small wind farms, energy conservation and other eco-friendly things.
“What Senator Frerichs is proposing already exists in the treasurer’s office,” said Mary Frances Bragiel, spokeswoman for Treasurer DAN RUTHERFORD.
She said green programs were consolidated in both the Business Invest and Ag Invest programs.

Dishonest Mike Frerichs

Mike Frerichs launched his campaign with a lie.  What he touted as his biggest accomplishment and the issue he described as "leading by example" was actually one where he voted against.

From Washington to Springfield the typical politicians are failing us.

Dishonest politicians like Mike Frerichs.

Here’s Frerichs in his very first ad:

“In 2006 I ran for the State Senate where I led by example by cutting my own pay and ending free lifetime healthcare for legislators.”

The problem? It’s not true.

Frerichs voted against ending lifetime health benefits and voted to increase his own pay. Twice.

Now, Frerichs expects us to believe this:

“If you believe that what we need is accountability and honesty and ethics in the Treasurer’s office, then I ask you to join this campaign.”

Mike Frerichs.

Just another dishonest politician we can’t trust… especially with our tax dollars.

Mike Frerichs and His Record on Raising Taxes

Mike Frerichs has a history of voting - not just to raise his own pay - but also to increase taxes on all Illinois residents. Now he wants to be our State Treasurer?

He's raised taxes on everything from cable television and internet service to summer camps and wheelchairs.  Yes...wheelchairs.

Check out the video below to see the full details of "Tax Hike" Mike Frerichs.  But don't take just our word for it, you can read more about Mike Frerichs and his history of tax increases at the "For the Good of Illinois".  You can also see the full post of tax increases on the Illinois Truth Team.

Five Questions for Mike Frerichs

Mike Frerichs - Democrat Candidate for Treasurer is trying to convince voters that he's the right choice for our State.  He hasn't come clean on all of the questions we - as voters - need answers from him.  He's been a big-tax, bigger-government reliable vote for the Chicago Democrat Machine.

We're wondering, Senator Mike Frerichs...can you tell us the truth (for once) on these five questions?

From the Illinois Truth Team:

1. “Since entering office in 2007, 364,000 fewer people are working in Illinois. In fact, even your own family members have moved their business out of Illinois due to the poor business climate. Do you still maintain that raising taxes on small businesses, like you have, is an effective job creation policy?”

2. “In 2011, you joined with Governor Quinn to raise income taxes by 67%. At the time, you said it would help pay past due bills. Illinois currently has over $7 billion in unpaid bills while at the same time being a regional leader in unemployment. Did your tax increase plan work?”

3. “Twice over the last few years you voted to raise your pay and that of the Governor and other constitutional officers. During this same period, the state was accruing billions in unpaid bills and struggling to maintain funding levels for education and human services. Why were pay raises for politicians made a priority in your spending plans?”

4. “In 2010, even Speaker Madigan conceded that the budget was not balanced, even though there is a state constitutional requirement to have a balanced budget. How do you justify supporting that unbalanced budget?”

5. “During the last fundraising quarter, greater than 50% of your contributions came from public- and private-sector unions and overall have contributed over $270,000 in 2013 alone to your treasurer campaign. How will you avoid conflicts of interest with taxpayers?”
